Mattia Berti was born in Bologna on 31 May 1968 and graduated with a degree in Business and Economics in 1992, and in Law in 1998. He began his career as a chartered accountant in 1994. Since 2003, he has overseen Studio La Croce’s Bologna office, where he is now a senior partner.He mainly deals with extraordinary corporate restructuring transactions, M&As, and debt restructuring and turnaround transactions, including within the context of insolvency proceedings. He frequently takes up positions in listed and supervised companies as a director, liquidator and auditor. He also receives legal appointments from several courts as an expert assessor, insolvency administrator and court-appointed liquidator in arrangements with creditors, as well as official receiver in civil and criminal proceedings.He has taught at the University of Ferrara since 2015, where he is now a visiting professor on the Business Auditing course.
